Anytime you do a formal meditation session or you have a positive experience or beautiful feeling - you can dedicate this for the liberation of all sentient beings, here and now, by reciting this prayer.
Dedication:
“Throughout my many lives and until this moment, whatever virtue I have accomplished,
including the merit generated by this practice, and all that I will ever attain,
this I offer for the welfare of sentient beings.
May sickness, war, famine, and suffering be decreased for every being,
while their wisdom and compassion increase in this and every future life.
May I clearly perceive all experiences to be as insubstantial as the dream fabric of the night
and instantly awaken to perceive the pure wisdom display in the arising of every phenomenon.
May I quickly attain enlightenment in order to work ceaselessly for the liberation of all sentient beings.”
Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche
He was practicing primarily the Nyingma Tradition of Padmasambhava. His autobiography is “The Lord of the Dance.”
Composed by Eliza Bishop.
Sky Eating 3:00 minutes
For centuries, Tibetan Meditation Masters have used this profound morning meditation. A renowned Buddhist master, Thinley Norbu Rinpoche gave this meditation to his students in Nepal. It brings clarity and openness to the mind and body.
1. Secretly go outside in the fresh clean air and while standing, look at the blue sky. Of course, the sky doesn’t necessarily have to be blue, but it is nice if it is. Do this first thing in the morning.
2. Then, exhale vigorously, imagining that all negativity and concepts are expelled with your breath.
3. Next, shake your body like a rag doll releasing absolutely everything. This dispels all negativity. You can do this three times or ten times – it doesn’t matter. After you do this, rest and relax your mind.
4. Then in the sky before you, if you like, visualize countless buddhas with their wisdom bodies, wisdom speech and wisdom minds. Or you can imagine saints, angels, heroes, or other spiritual beings filling the sky. If you prefer, you can just imagine blue light in the sky before you.
5. Now everything becomes like the sky, very empty, vast and light.
6. Then you take a deep breath and inhale this sky through your mouth.
7. Now just relax. Don’t divide between the outer sky and inner sky. Just purely remain and smoothly go about your day.
Created by Eliza Bishop
1.) Take a mirror outside.
2.) See the sky in the mirror.
3.) Write on the mirror in whatever language you love, "Form is emptiness. Emptiness is form."
4.) Sit with no separation or reference to inner and outer.
You are invited to send a photograph of your words on a mirror and one sentence about your experience.
